Dualboot Ubuntu Linux va Windows

Dualboot – Đó là khi bạn muốn sử dụng song song 2 (hoặc nhiều hơn 2)  Hệ Điều Hành.
Các Hệ Điều Hành (OS) sẽ được cài đặt trên những phân vùng khác nhau, lúc khởi động máy tính, bạn sẽ có quyền lựa chọn khởi động vào Hệ Điều Hành mà bạn muốn.

Việc cài đặt như vậy sẽ tận dụng được hết phần cứng chứ không như việc sử dụng máy ảo để cài thêm Hệ Điều Hành khác.

Trong việc boot song song các HĐH thì boot Windows// Linux là phổ biến nhất, mà cụ thể là giữa Windows 7 với Ubuntu. Bài viết này không bàn về chi tiết việc thực hiện như thế nào, mà cung cấp cho bạn cái nhìn tổng quát về Dualboot, nếu hiểu được vấn đề, các bạn sẽ có thể thực hiện dễ dàng & tương tự với việc Dualboot Backtrack/ Windows 7, hay CentOS/Windows 7…

Việc Dualboot có thể thực hiện bằng cách cài Windows trước, Linux sau hoặc ngược lại.

Windows 7 có  chương trình quản lý việc khởi động tên là Bootloader.
Ubuntu có chương trình quản lý việc khởi động tên là GRUB ( hoặc GRUB2, LILO…)

2 chương trình này không chung sống hòa thuận với nhau được, tức là nếu bạn cài Linux trước, sau đó cài tiếp Windows, thì Bootloader sẽ đè lên GRUB, khi đó lúc khởi động máy tính chỉ nhận ra Windows mà không nhận ra Linux.
Ngược lại, nếu cài Windows trước và Linux sau, thì GRUB cũng có thể đè lên Bootloader, lúc đó lúc khởi động, máy tính sẽ mặc định vào Linux mà quên mất Windows.

Windows rất tham lam, bởi Bootloader Windows sẽ chiếm lĩnh toàn bộ ổ cứng (nên xảy ra việc ghi đè lên GRUB). GRUB thì đỡ hơn, lúc cài Linux, bạn có thể cài GRUB lên phân vùng /boot thôi (sẽ không ghi đè Bootloader Windows) hoặc cài lên toàn bộ ổ cứng (sẽ ghi đè).

Khi cài GRUB lên phân vùng /boot , máy tính sẽ mặc định vào Windows và không nhận ra Linux. Chúng ta đang nói về việc cài Linux sau khi cài Windows. Chính vì vậy sau khi cài xong Linux, bạn phải vào Windows và chỉnh lại file boot bằng công cụ EasyBCD http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/

Khi cài GRUB lên toàn bộ ổ cứng, GRUB sẽ đè lên Bootloader Windows, tuy nhiên khi bạn khởi động máy, thì sẽ vẫn nhận ra Windows và cả Linux .

Còn nếu bạn cài Windows sau, cài Linux trước, thì Bootloader sẽ đè lên GRUB và máy chỉ nhận ra mỗi Windows mà thôi. Lúc này, việc phục hồi sẽ rất khó khăn. Chính vì vậy trước khi cài Windows- bạn phải backup lại GRUB cái đã.

Chú ý rằng MBR (Master Boot Record) là  nơi lưu trữ cấu hình cho việc khởi động một máy tính, chỉ dẫn phân vùng nào được khởi động… việc thao tác với Bootloader của Windows hay GRUB (GRand Unified Booloader) chính là quá trình thay đổi cấu hình của MBR mà thôi. Chính vì lẽ đó khi Windows bị lỗi lúc boot, ta có thể sửa MBR bằng cách cho đĩa cài Windows => Repair và trong
Command Prompt bạn gõ bootrec /fixmbr , sau đó khởi động lại là được.

Install Java Firefox Chrome Ubuntu jre openjdk icedtea

Ubuntu - Windows : Fan + CPU noisier, harder

Some of you might have a problem like me : When dual-booting, using Ubuntu is  always noisier - which means your fan, cpu ... working harder than Windows and you don't know why.

The answer should be VGA in my case, that's a problem of incompatibilities between driver and hardware .
